Sabrina Slavin (b. San Francisco, 1998) is a contemporary artist and photographer. Working primarily in self-portraiture, Slavin’s photographic work is both an exploration of the self, and the construction of the "self" - and the ways photography aids and upholds this construction.
Slavin uses photography as a visual diary, relying on intuition and the emotions of the moment to create scenes. Photographs become a way of mapping out possible realities or ways of being, and a roadmap to navigate complex emotions.
